In January, I had the honor of photographing a beautiful woman named Jennifer. She is a military wife whose husband is currently deployed to Iraq. This is the second deployment since they have lived in Hawaii. They’ve only been here 2 1/2 years. Jennifer and I have become friends and her warmth won me over immediately. She is one of those people who you can’t wait to see! She always has a smile and a hug waiting for you and even though I know she has her moments in private, you would never know. She is not a saint, she is as fallible as the rest of us. But she carries herself through each day with humility and grace and always has a kind words to say, no matter what the subject. So we came up with a great way for her to celebrate Valentine’s Day with her husband. We had these printed in cards and she sent them to him in the mail. On Valentine’s Day, she posted them to his FaceBook wall so when he logged on it would be filled with her. He loved it and I am sure he may have a had a tear in his eye, but I will neither confirm or deny it. I love her to pieces and wanted to share some of her valentines that she sent to her husband. I think you will see what I mean! I have the BEST job in the world!
